Hello from Terminal B at Los Angeles International Airport! I’m Haley, and in just a few hours, I’ll be boarding a flight to Melbourne, Australia—a bucket-list destination I’ve been dreaming about for years. While I wait, I figured this is the perfect time to share something I’ve been quietly working on: my new travel and photography blog, YEAUXLEAUX.
If you’re wondering about the name, it’s a playful nod to my Louisiana roots. I’ve been traveling for work, roller derby, and fun for years, always with a camera in hand. I’ve taken thousands of photos in places I never imagined I’d see and shared bits and pieces on social media, but I’ve always wanted a dedicated space to showcase these experiences. That’s where YEAUXLEAUX comes in.
This blog is my way of blending my love for travel, photography, and storytelling. Whether I’m on the road for a roller derby tournament, exploring a new city for work, or relaxing on a personal getaway, YEAUXLEAUX will capture those moments in words and pictures. I’ll share travel tips, behind-the-scenes glimpses of my adventures, and, most importantly, the photos that make these trips so memorable.
Why now? Honestly, it’s one of those projects I’ve been putting off for years. Life, work, and derby always seemed to take priority. But today, sitting here at LAX, it feels right to finally launch Yeauxleaux. Starting this blog on the brink of a new adventure—one that will take me halfway around the world—feels like the perfect way to begin.
